Ryan and Rach were easy company. The kind of couple who naturally fall into step together, laugh at each other without trying, and make my job ridiculously simple. Those are always my favourite sessions because the photos end up feeling like them, not like they've spent an hour performing for a camera.
Beach engagement shoots in Perth are one of my favourite ways to photograph couples. The coastline gives you room to move, every session looks a little different depending on the weather, and as the sun drops, everything softens in the best possible way. No fancy backdrop needed.
One thing I always tell couples is that your engagement shoot isn't about practising for the wedding. It's about spending an hour together, having a chat, getting comfortable, and ending up with photos that actually feel like your relationship. If we happen to get some ridiculously good light along the way, that's just a bonus.
